Waukegan teachers or other certified staff are eligible to work as homebound tutors. The teachers must have a valid teaching certificate on file at Lincoln Center. The rate per hour will be established by district-negotiated contract.

If you are interested in serving as a homebound tutor, an application needs to be completed and returned to Ozzie Young, Student Outreach at the A.O.E.C./Stephens Center (1020 Glen Rock). Blank applications can be picked up at the Stephens Center Main Office. They are not available online.

All prospective tutors should refer to the Homebound Tutoring Handbook, which carefully outlines the policies to be followed by tutors, teachers, nursing staff, and students.
